Our Story

How the Jorsie came to be…After getting over the WONDERFUL surprise of having identical girl twins, we stocked up on all the baby clothing we possibly could: the onesies, the pants, the shirts, the skirts, and of course the socks and shoes.  Dressing one baby was a task in and of itself, but two?  Forget it! I was spending more time getting two babies dressed and I was completely frustrated and exhausted.  Then enters my husband into this daunting process of getting both girls ready.  He would gladly volunteer to get them dressed, however he would always complain how he hated matching the buttons or snaps on their outfits and how long it took to just get ONE arm through a hole.  I would walk into their room only to find their onesies hanging on for dear life.

That’s when I knew I had to buy only comfortable and easy, zippered-footies.  I bought these from the limited amount of baby stores, yet all I was seeing was casual-wear footies that resembled pajamas.  I was so discouraged, knowing that I would be taking my girls out in public in convenient albeit hideous one-print clothing. That’s when it hit me!  Why doesn’t a footie that looks like a stylish outfit exist?!  One that encompasses all the necessities of a complete, well-dressed outfit (shoes, accessories, and all) AND still simple to assemble.  I combined the concepts of time efficiency and fashion into a simple, yet stylish product for parents to dress their babies in for any occasion.  I could now take my girls out and feel confident that they didn’t look like they were getting ready for bed.  I used both of my daughters’ names, Jordan and Sienna, to create the name: Jorsie!   Thus, the fashionable footie was finally born!

Jordan, the “youngest twin” by just 4 minutes, is named after my brother, Joshua.  Unfortunately, he passed away at the young age of 24 due to his struggle with substance abuse.  In his honor, our family has decided that for every Jorsie purchased, we will donate $1 to the Shatterproof foundation (https://www.shatterproof.org).  This is a national, non-profit organization that is dedicated to ending the devastation that addiction causes families and their loved ones.  In doing this, I hope to honor the life and legacy of my little brother and to help the millions of people that are affected by this awful disease every day.
